Emmanuel Honhannisyan was born November 30, 1983 in Yerevan. He gained his initial musical education at the H. Danielyan Music Art School and graduated in 1998. Emmanuel went on to study at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory achieving both graduate and post graduate degrees.
In 2002, while still a student, Emmanuel won first prize at the Vienna Brass and Woodwind Musical Instrument Festival. In 2004, 2005 and 2007 Emmanuel was the winner of the All Armenian Duduk Competition and in 2009 won the Grand Prix at the Komitas International Music Competition.
In 2010 Emmanuel was featured in the “New Voices of the Duduk” Shant TV Project. He is currently the principle duduk of the State Orchestra of National Instruments and soloist of “Tagharan” Ancient Music Ensemble. Emmanuel has performed throughout Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Ukraine,Moldavia, Romania, Poland, Serbia, Czech Republic, Mongolia, Switzerland, Italy and Austria.
Emmanuel Honhannisyan wurde am 30. November 1983 in Jerewan geboren. Er erhielt an der H. Danielyan Music Art School seine erste musikalische Erziehung und graduierte 1998. Emmanuel studierte am Komitas Staatskonservatorium in Jerewan weiter, wo er graduate and post graduate degrees erwarb.
Im Jahr 2002, als er noch Schüler war, gewann Emmanuel den ersten Preis des Wiener Blech- and Holzblasinstrumente Festival. In den Jahren 2004, 2005 und 2007 war Emmanuel der Gewinner der All Armenian Duduk Competition und 2009 gewann er den Grand Prix der Komitas International Music Competition.
Emmanuel war 2010 beim “New Voices of the Duduk” Shant TV Projekt zu sehen. Er spielt momentan den ersten Duduk des State Orchestra of National Instruments and ist Solist des “Tagharan” Ancient Music Ensemble. Emmanuel ist bereits in Russland, Georgien, der Türkei, Ukraine, Moldawien, Rumänien, Polen, Serbien, Tschechien, der Mongolei, der Schweiz, Italien und Österreich aufgetreten.
Aram Nikoghosyan was born on May 29, 1980 in Yerevan. From age 6 he studied at the G. Boudaghyan musical school and in 1992 participated in the republic competition and won the First place.
In 1994 entered the R. Meliqyan Musical College where he participated in many competitions sponsored by the Ministry of Culture often winning first prize.
In 1997 Aram entered the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory while also performing throughout Europe as part of the noted dance troupe “Berd”.
In 2000 Aram won the Golden Medal in a music competition among 32 competing countries. From 2005-2010 Aram was a throughout Armenia. Aram has also been an active ensemble player and soloist as well as in a variety of orchestras. In 2009 Aram won first prize in the Komitas competition. Since 2010 Aram has performed with The Armenian Public Radio station’s Folk Instruments Ensemble.
